What is the Multifamily Program?
The Program is an energy efficiency program designed to assist tenants living in multifamily complexes reduce their energy usage by providing access to financial incentives to improve the efficiency of their homes.
Who is eligible to participate in the Program?
The Program is designed to provide energy efficiency measure(s) to properties owned and operated by a 501(c)3 or can demonstrate that at least 25% of units occupied by tenants that receive some type of local income-qualifying assistance in the CPS Energy service area.
What incentives are available through the Program?
The program offers incentives to help offset the property management’s cost to install energy efficiency measures. The incentive(s) vary on the type of measure(s) and may depend on the funding available through the Program.
How does an apartment complex enroll in the Program?
A property manager may apply to participate in the Program by submitting all necessary documentation or emailing a request for more information to [email protected]
How are energy efficiency measures determined?
The Program works with each property manager or assigned Trade Alley to assess the site and determine the appropriate energy efficiency measures for the complex.
Who decides what energy efficiency measures to install and who installs them?
The property manager decides what energy efficiency measures to implement after receiving a summary of eligible measures and decides who will install them. CLEAResult helps in the initial identification and evaluation of energy efficiency measures. If property manager has staff/ contractors that can perform the measure installation to the program specification, CLEAResult will work with staff to complete a project. Property manager can also view the Trade Alley list above to find contractors that meet all requirements to participate in the program.
